When the choices are treats or prongs, choose CARE First!

No one ever says: "I want to get a dog to bring more frustration into my life", right? Or, "Maybe a dog can make me a bit crazier". Most of us just want companionship. So, let's build that unique connection between you and your dog! With ADB you'll gain insight into your dog's mindset, allowing you to better understand their behaviors. We will help you address your dog's emotional needs. When needs are met, "problem" behaviors tend to decrease or disappear. We hear you, and we are here for you. Welcome to ADB!

Attention: If you reside outside the USA, Canada, UK or Australia, please reach out to us for manual enrollment.

About the Course

Living with a Reactive Dog: Navigating Challenges Together

Caring for a reactive dog can be incredibly challenging. While we may not know your specific circumstances, it's understandable if you occasionally feel annoyed, frustrated, confused, or even embarrassed and anxious. Your feelings are valid. However, one of the most crucial steps you can take to improve your situation is to gain a deeper understanding of your dog and their reactive behaviors.

Since reactivity is fundamentally an emotional issue, and we cannot - nor should we try to - simply train emotions away, traditional training is probably not your best option to helping your dog through these challenging moments. Addressing reactivity effectively means meeting your dog's emotional needs to prevent further "unwanted" behaviors in the future. In other words, your dog needs YOU! How you connect with your dog and how you support them before, during and after a stressful event is key to helping your dog feel safer.

How can you achieve this? Join us on our “Living with a Reactive Dog” journey!
